Welcome to Ms. Toker's Math Classes

General Policy:

You will not be graded on how many problems you have correct on your problem sets, only on whether you have completed and corrected your homework on time. Working problems yourself is how you learn the material. There is not penalty for errors on assignments, but you are expected to correct the errors and to seek additional help for concepts that you do not understand. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Keeping up with your daily assignments and asking questions when you do not understand is the best way to master the material and to prepare for the tests.

For grading, problem sets have the weight of one test. Everyone starts at 100% for their assignment grade. Penalties are assessed if homework is not done, or if it turned in late, or if corrections are turned in late or not done. Your final assignment grade will be based on 100% minus any penalties. Extra time will be granted if you have an excused absence. Normal deadlines and specific penalties are noted on the spreadsheets below.

Advanced Math

Homework Assignments (reading the lesson and watching the linked videos on khanacademy.org) are listed in the spreadsheet. Problem sets will be done in class, with the goal of completing 15 problems per class session. If you do not complete the problems in class, you will need to finish them at home and turn them in at the beginning of the next class. You will do all even problem sets, beginning with lesson 2.
